The Px2010 initiative (“Underage Drinking: It’s Everybody’s Problem!”) is the result of a coordinated planning effort to increase the impact of prevention services in Erie County, New York. The approach is based on a foundation of data-driven decision making that led to the identification of underage drinking as a primary focus for a collaborative effort of the Px20 coordinating council. Px2010 incorporates evidence-based practices and outcomes assessment into a comprehensive approach that has the potential to be expanded and replicated. Finally, Px2010 is highly feasible; the resources to support its initial implementation are in place, and collaborative efforts to secure additional funds to enrich the project over time are planned.
